SoyBoy Organic Extra Firm Tofu is made from US-and-Canada-Grown certified-organic soybeans just like our other organic tofu products. This extra firm variety has simply been pressed to remove a bit more water so that it can stand up to stir-frying, pan-frying, slicing, cubing, and grilling.

Since tofu is about three-quarters water, we’ve installed a natural activated charcoal water purification system that removes bacteria and filters out undesirable flavors and pollutants. To our knowledge, we’re the only tofu maker in North America that uses a natural calcium chloride nigari as a coagulant. Therefore, if you compare our tofu to other brands, you’ll probably find that it is higher in protein and has more calcium.
